Could you explain the infrastructure type shown in the Easy Installer vCenter information pane?

Updated: Feb 9, 2024

While setting up VMware Aria Automation or VMware Identity Manager through Easy Installer, when you reach the stage of providing vCenter details for deployment, you'll encounter an option called "Infrastructure Type."

This choice determines the location of your vCenter:

- vSphere

Whether it is within your datacenter or on VMC on AWS

if it resides on a Hyperscaler such as AVS, GCVE, or OVCS

In the case of deploying on hyperscalers, it's important to note that the admin account often comes with restrictions.

Therefore, it is advisable to select the Infrastructure Type as Hyperscaler during deployment.

This ensures that the installer performs checks with relaxed permissions to verify if the necessary privileges are available.
